Sami Badra

House Father for Young Men

Driver

Sami Badra is a driver, a father, an encourager to our staff and an "all-around-whatever-needs-to-be-done" guy.  Some of our older boarders were rejected by their families.  Sami has become their new dad, and he leads them to trust in an even better Father—God.

In his 16 years spent serving the staff and students at HOH, Sami has made it clear that his purpose first and foremost is to glorify God.  It is of utmost importance to Sami that others know faith in Christ rules his life.  He is a good driver—he has to be because he has a cross and a Christian fish on the back of his car.  In everything, Sami finds ways to turn attention to the King and not himself.  Don't thank Sami for God's blessings because he will make sure you correct yourself and praise the One who is worthy.

Before becoming a father to our older men, Sami was a tailor from Beit Sahour.  He works hard and says he loves to work at HOH because he loves to help others.  He is still young, he says, and will work until he can not move anymore.  He doesn’t want anyone to "do his job" because he is so able to do it himself and loves to work.  Sami doesn’t stop-whether the task is laundry, driving or playing with the children, he loves to be moving and serving at HOH.

Please pray that Sami will continue to father the four young men with wisdom and grace.  Pray for his patience and energy to come from God Himself.
