  • 16/12/2007  We are excited to share that Christina, Rhoda's daughter, is engaged to Waleed, a man from Beit Sahour.

  • 02/12/2007 We welcomed two more volunteers for the boarding section from the 'yes team' (a group from the Eastern Mennonite Mission), Melody and Audrey from USA, who will be here until July. 

  • 10/11/2007 We have received a new volunteer from England, Darius.  His expertise is in gardening, but he will also be helping as a house parent in the boarding section.

  • 01/09/2007 Yousef, a student from Bethlehem Bible College, was hired to work with two young men with more severe special needs than the other boarding students.

  • (01/10/2007) We have welcomed five new day students from the Bethlehem area to our school, four boys and one girl.

  • (01/09/2007) Wisam, a new house father from Beit Sahour, was hired at the beginning of the school year to work with the boarding children.

  • (01/07/2007) Christine's daughter Amal, and two sons have come to visit her mother sisters and brothers so we are enjoying family quality time.

  • (10/05/2007) We had to say goodbye to Sarah and Jason Pollack, two volunteers from the United States who have spent the year working as house parents.

  • (20/05/2007) We had to say goodbye to April Griffin, a volunteer from Canada who volunteered with us for two months, working in the office and writing.

  • (01/05/2007) We have a new addition to the boarding section, 1 new boy, Amer, a young man with physical disabilities. 

  • (16/04/2007) Over 100 people attended the celebration in honor of 45 years of service by Christine David.

  • (21/02/2007) We accepted a new volunteer, April, who will join us in early March.

  • (21/02/2007) Our Director and her family enjoyed a sweet visit with relatives from the States.

  • (21/02/2007) Anwar returned to the House of Hope as a boarding student.

  • (01/02/2007) We celebrated the birthdays of four of our students with yummy cake and presents.  Asma even got a new guitar to play!-link to photo album

  • (01/02/2007) Dina, our new volunteer from Holland, arrived to help some of the older boys.

  • (01/02/2007) Rebecca Nelson from Rochester, NY arrived to volunteer as a writer and photographer for our web site and newsletters. 

  • (29/01/2007) New boy (Jihad)  was admitted to the boarding section.

  • (21/01/2007) New Volunteer Arlo Meir from United states joined our family at the House of Hope, to start his work in the boarding section.

  • (10/01/2007) Our kids returned from their Christmas holiday.

  • (02/01/2007) John Gibby took our resident blind ladies to visit their friends in Kubeibi Old People's Home; Alice, Zareefeh and Laila.

  • (30/12/2006) The home friend John Gibby and his wife came from England to spend Christmas Vacation with us.

  • (21/12/2006) Our lovely volunteer Jessie Bond, Oddlaug and Severre left us to go back to their home country.

  • (21/12/2006) The school children left the house for the Christmas Vacation until January 10th, 2007.

  • (19/12/2206) The home was able to hold a  Christmas party for the children and some of their families before the school closed for the Christmas vacation.

  • Zakkia came back to stay with us after doing her surgery.

  • The House of Hope will be opening its doors for all our friends and guests during our Easter break in 2007, to Come and join the ceremony of honoring  “Teta” Christine Daoud.

  • (28/11/2006) Rhoda and family returned back safely from united states. 

  • (15/11/2006) HOH Children celebrated Palestinian independence day and enjoyed it very much.

  • (11/2006) Joan Cameron a friend of the home visited us and helped the teachers in school class rooms.

  • (31/10/2006) The School students celebrated Halloween.

  • (21-28/10/2006) The kids went to their homes celebrating "Eid Ramadan".

  • (19/10/2006) Rhoda and her children traveled  to the USA, touring with the Bethlehem Bible College choir.

  • (05/10/2006) Mr. & Mrs. Bond, Jessie's Parents, came to visit the home for two weeks.

  • The reconvene of the ladies meeting every week.

  • One of the workshop trainees, Munir Shaheen, has opened his own workshop.

  • (30/09/2006) Lyyah a classroom teacher at the school section left the house of hope and Niveen was assigned instead of her.

  • (28/09/2006) John Gibby, a good friend of the home, came to stay with us for 2 weeks.

  • (21/09/2006) The School and some of the employees and volunteers went to a trip to the country side here in Bethlehem area.

  • Oddlawg & Severre Ringsby came back to House of Hope after their 4 months trip to their home in Norway.

  • (16/09/2006) The Volunteers at the Boarding Section took the kids to a swimming pool to enjoy their day.

  • New cases were received for the new class that was opened in the school for slow learners and a new teacher was appointed for it.

  • New couple (Sarah and Jason Pollack) has volunteered to work in the boarding section for a year starting 1st of September.

  • The home celebrated the 80th birthday of “Teta” Christine Daoud.

  • During the war between Israel and Lebanon the HOH has welcomed many of our Arab friends from Jaffa who came to reside at the HOH until the war was over.

  • Khader who was married to the previous social worker Fawz Musleh who has died three years ago from cancer, has got married again in the beginning of the summer and they are now expecting a new baby.
