Dear Friends,

This month (as always!) we praise God for His provision and love.  One of our students, Jafar, best summed up the cry of all our hearts this week when he proclaimed loudly, "He is a good God!"  Our Father has provided many new blessings this month at the House of Hope.

The first blessing is the return of all our students from the holiday break.  The children had a great time celebrating the beginning of a new year but seem ecstatic to be back in school.  (Wow-Kids excited to be back in school?  Praise God!) With the arrival of the students, we also welcome a new child, Jihad, to the boarding section of our House.  Jihad is from Beit Umar and is 8 years old.     

Another new addition to our House is Khalid Mizher.  Diabetes claimed his sight two years ago, and Khalid, is now learning mobility and to read and write in Braille.  With his bachelor's degree in lab sciences, he is happy to be learning to communicate.   

Recently, we asked for prayer concerning volunteers and God has provided three!

Arlo Meier from the Bruderhof Community in New York, arrived this month. Already the kids love to climb on, play with and fall asleep on their new house father.     

Khalid Nassar, a Palestinian Christian Armenian from Bethlehem, will be helping Dina to care for some of our older students.  He is strong and able to be a godly role model for the young men.

Rebecca Nelson, a student from Rochester, NY, is serving with us in the field of media and writing.  She will work with our web designer to provide more photos, information and news on our web site.  Soon our friends around the world will be able to read even more about God's work here in Bethlehem. 

God has been answering the prayers of his people.  We are excited to see how He will answer the following requests:

·         Please pray that our staff and volunteers continue to enjoy close fellowship together.

·         Pray for peace and love for the West Bank during the increasing political turmoil.

·         Pray for financial provision.

·         Thank God for answered prayer this month, and for his continued blessings on us. From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you for your prayers and support and for your generous gift of ________.
