Dear Friends and Family in the Lord,
"For unto us a child is born,… of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end…" Isaiah 9:6-7 First we would like to thank all of you who expressed your interest in the prayer letter, which we have neglected to send since our beloved daughter Anna Jo left in the spring. She now works in Uganda with special needs orphaned children. She definitely still needs your support in prayer for this new ministry. We thank God for the safe return of our director, Rhoda David, and her children from America Also, we thank God to have Jason and Sarah, a new couple from the States, working in the boarding section since summer. Their energy and education already prove a blessing to us. We will be losing two volunteers after Christmas, so we ask that you pray for fresh reinforcements to arrive. Please also pray for someone to care for the blind ladies, helping them with errands and taking them for walks several times a week. Our van continues to run okay, but we need to ask the Lord that plans for new transportation work out soon. As always, the teachers and staff here at the home need your prayers for the wisdom and patience of Christ to guide and protect the children. One of our newer boys in the boarding section still causes a lot of disruption and even struck another boy on the face. Please ask the Lord to give Nabil peace in his heart and to give us all grace to deal with his behavior so all the children can benefit from his involvement. Finally, we ask you to pray that God continues to lavish His love on and through all of us who work here at the House of Hope. Thank you for your support in prayer! With warm Christmas greetings from your friends at the House of Hope. |
