Name: Mohammad

Birthday: Jan. 5, 1999

        Mohammad is one of our sweet young boys in the House of Hope.  He has been here only six months or so, arriving at the beginning of the school year in 2006. Mohammad has Down's Syndrome, but can understand when taught and is learning new things every day.

       Mohammad is from Hebron, the youngest of nine.  His married brothers still live at home, so Mohammad is able to play with his nieces and nephews in his home.  Unfortunately, it confuses him sometimes to hear his mother being called "Jedda" (grandmother).  He often calls his mother by the same name. 

         Outside, Mohammad loves to ride bikes, shoot hoops and run around. He is extremely athletic.  He can throw far and loves to show off his skills.  Though a little guy, Mohammad is quite tough and pushes people around (mainly our tall house fathers) if anyone is in his way.  He often tries to wrestle Ismael or one of the larger boys and is rarely afraid.

          Please pray for Mohammad's family in Hebron and for his continued safety.  We hope to see him grow in the Lord as he learns how to care for himself and others.  Please pray that God will use Mohammad's strong will for His glory.
