Kais is in his second year at the House of Hope.
He is a very happy little boy and is loved by his big family in
The prayers Kais prays at nightly devotions and even before meals display great
faith and power. He is mentally
disabled and often repeats actions and phrases, but God uses these for His
glory. It is not uncommon to hear
Kais repeating the Lord's Prayer while outside playing in the sun or while
inside playing Legos. He loves to
pray and believes His God is willing to answer.
It's refreshing to hear him praying as Jesus taught his disciples to
pray. Kais also really loves our accountant, Khader. It's worth noting that every time Kais knows Khader's in the office, he tries to stop in and say hello. We aren’t sure what exactly caused their relationship to be so close, but it's clear that there's a deep love between Kais and a man who works hard for the House of Hope but doesn’t always get to be with the kids. Khader is happy to take a break from his books of numbers whenever Kais wants to hang out for a few minutes. Kais is one of a kind. Please pray for his Muslim family to see his faith and glorify God. Pray that he will be encouraged in school and learn new things cheerfully. We praise God that Kais has adjusted well after only two years here and are excited to see God's plans fulfilled in his life. |
