Jihad Jihad is 9 years old. He is one of our newest children at House of Hope, arriving only in February. The first thing you notice about Jihad is that he is very loving and affectionate to everybody around him. He usually greets all the aunties and uncles with hugs. Yet, as much as he is affectionate sometimes he expresses himself in negative ways by hitting people. He enjoys playing with the older boys as much as he can- whether it's soccer, or wrestling. One of his favorite activities is riding around outside on the three-wheeled bike with Bara'a in the back. He also really loves doing the motions to songs at devotions, especially since he doesn't speak. Lately Jihad has been a great help around the house, offering to help clear the table and carry things like the older boys. We thank God for Jihad and his caring spirit, which he shares with everyone. We pray that he might learn to express himself more fully, and that he will grow up to be a bigger guy, as he is quite small for his age. |
