Name: Aya Birthdate: July 24, 1997 Aya is in
her first year at the House of Hope and is nine years old.
She is loved deeply by her parents, two brothers, and three sisters.
The family lives in a refugee camp near Aya's brother recently brought her a new pair of glasses. They look so cute and she was happy to see her brother (and everything else!) with her new glasses. She is quiet but absolutely loves to play the guitar and sing. Aya is a loner. She can play for hours with a small toy and doesn’t like to be bothered, but if invited to play ring-a-round-the-rosie with the other girls, she always joins with a big smile. In other words, Aya's ability to play nicely alone but well with other students is a great blessing to our workers. Please pray for Aya's stubborn but extremely sweet spirit to understand the love we have for her and the love Christ has for her. Pray that her Muslim family will see her joy during visits. Aya has Down's syndrome and is very tiny, but she is quite the little spitfire. We all love to hear her sing and play. |
